HOWARD JORDAN BUSINESS BUILDING
The sixth president of Savannah State College is honored with naming of the Howard Jordan Business Building. Dr. Jordan served the college from 1963 to 197 1. During his term, the college acquired 11 new buildings and brought the first graduate degree program, the Master of Science in Elementary Education. Dr. Jordan also became the first black person to hold a high position with the University System of Georgia’s Central Office.
