PREAMBLE
We, the members of the Interracial Communications Project do hereby constitute ourselves an organization subject to the following provisions.
The name of this organization shall be Interracial Communications Project of Savannah State University. All official documents shall bear this name.
To develop student leaders to better understand the causes and consequences of racism in America.
It strives to expand students' ability to think critically and openly about issues of race and ethnicity.
Section III
Provide activities that enhance cultural sensitivity at Savannah State University and in the local community.
Membership in Interracial Communications Project is open to all SSU students, faculty, and staff. This organization will not deny membership to any person on the basis of race, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, physical handicap, color, marital status, national origin, language or creed.
A. Voting members of Interracial Communications Project shall consist of all members who have shown vested interest in the club by having paid club dues ($10 annually) for the current school year and have signed the current membership roster.
B. Each member must be present at that particular meeting to cast their one vote. Exception: voting issues initiated by way of email.
A. The Interracial Communications Project will meet weekly during fall and spring semesters. The active members of the organization shall determine time and place of meetings.
B. Special meetings may be called by the advisor, allowing for a 24-hour period of advanced notice.
C. The following agenda shall serve as the standard of meetings for Interracial Communications Project

II. Reading of Minutes
III. Old Business
IV. New Business
V. Reviewing Calendar Events and Deadlines
VI. Adjournment
The Advisor will be responsible for the collection/disbursement of funds. Major expenditures will be authorized by the membership. Major expenditures ($100 or more) will be authorized by majority vote of the membership. Minor expenditures (less than $100) will be authorized by the active members and the advisor. All expenditures shall require the signatures of the advisor.
Advisor
A. The advisor may be one or more full-time faculty or staff employees of Savannah State University.
B. The advisor (s) can be recommended for removal from the position by the Interracial Communications Project active members if:
1. They are not contributing to the Interracial Communications Project in a positive manner.
2. Misappropriation of funds.
Amendments
Any member of the Interracial Communications Project may sponsor any amendment. The amendment must be approved by a two-thirds (2/3) majority vote of active members present.
