The purpose of the Judicial Branch is to ensure that there is
adequate student representation in the judicial process of the
University.

The role of the Judicial Branch shall be as follows:
(1) The Judicial Board will review the Student Government
constitution periodically in making sure that they are in accordance
with its constitutional purpose.
(2) The Judicial Branch shall have the power to recommend any
appropriate changes to the Student Government constitution.
(3) Bills and proposals originating in the Judicial Branch have
the force of law only after Legislative and Executive Branch
approval.
(4) Act as a liaison with the Coordinator of Student Ethics in
promoting a fair process of the University Judicial System.
(5) Act as a liaison with SSU Campus Police, by bringing
concerns, thoughts, and issues regarding campus safety and guide
lines.
(6) The Judicial Branch shall also have the power to create
committees, if they are needed.
