JUDICIAL BRANCH COMMITTEES


 

 
                    INTERNAL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE

Members: 

Purpose:                   The most important of all the committees. It accepts the responsibility of finding and maintaining order within the Student Government ensuring that the SGA Constitution is a working and up-to-date document that is relevant and practical. It also works to hold the leaders of SGA accountable to their constituents by reviewing their attendance and job performance regularly.

Projects:                    Monthly Report on SGA – The Internal Affairs Committee will present a monthly report to the Vice President for Student Affairs on their analysis of SGA. This report will also be made available to SGA and the student Body. The Internal Affairs Committee will also meet monthly with SGA to discuss internal affairs, prior to submission of their report to the VP for Student Affairs.

                          SGA Semester Evaluations – The Internal Affairs Committee will construct, such as an teacher evaluation form, a SGA evaluation form that would have the student body evaluate the Student Government of their constitutional duties.
 

                     PUBLIC SAFETY & AWARENESS COMMITTEE

            Members:

Purpose:                   This committee is concerned with public safety issues and matters that evolve on campus. It is concerned with Networking among SSU Campus police and providing critical information, to the student body, about campus safety and issues.

Projects:               Safety Awareness Distributions – This is a project to establish and maintain ties with SGA and Campus Police in distributing campus safety flyers in preventing incidents of crime and theft across the campus.
