EXECUTIVE BRANCH


 


The purpose of the Executive Branch is to enforce all approved bills and policies of the Student Government Association. The Executive Branch should also examine problems and arrive at possible solutions for the student body and make proposals to the legislative Branch for its approval.

The role of the Executive Branch is as follows:

(1) To approve or veto all actions of the Legislative Branch before such actions will have the force of law.

(2)  Should the Executive Branch fail to act upon a Legislative Branch decision of which it has been notified, the Legislative Branch decision will have the force of law after the 14th day from the date of notification.

(3) Bills/proposals originating in the Executive Branch have the force of law only after Legislative Branch approval.

(4) Executive Board Members must participate and be prepared to brief the student body during scheduled SGA Forums.
