Goal of PSLSAMP

The Peach State Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (PSLSAMP) aims at increasing the quality and quantity of underrepresented minority students successfully completing science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) baccalaureate degree programs, and increasing the number of students interested in, academically qualified for and matriculated into programs of graduate study.

Savannah State University hosted the August meeting of the PSLSAMP in the STEM Center of the Hubert Building on Friday, August 18, 2006. Thanks to the President Dr. Carlton E. Brown and the Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Joseph H. Silver, Sr., who dropped in to greet Dr. Cheryl Dozier, Associate Vice Provost of Institutional Diversity, UGA, Mr. Curtis Byrd, Executive Director, PSLSAMP, and the Institutional Coordinators and participants.
