Georgia Tech Regional Engineering Program
Under this Georgia Tech Regional Engineering Program (GTREP), students take, at SSU, the courses required in the first 2 years (Freshman and Sophomore Classes) of the Georgia Tech Engineering Degree Programs in

Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering

Upon successful completion of these classes at SSU, the students become Georgia Tech students, but continue to remain at Savannah to graduate with Georgia Tech Engineering Degree

Admission Requirements:


A combined SAT score of at least 1090 (including a minimum of 440 on the verbal portion), and

A High School GPA of at least 3.0 or

Have been admitted to an Engineering program at Georgia Tech


Students who do not meet the initial admission criteria may qualify for the GTREP after the end of their freshman year by:
Completing the first two required Chemistry/Physics courses and Calculus I and II with grades of 3.0 (B) or higher, and

Attaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher The students who complete the courses included in the first 2 years of the desired Engineering program with a GPA of 2.5 or higher in those courses may be admitted to GTREP at the discretion of the Georgia Tech GTREP Coordinator.
