Our e-Bulletin "SciTech" is a monthly reporting on recent goings in COST, and you will also be able to see all the issues of this e-Bulletin at the COST website at: http://www.savstate.edu/scitech/archive.htm
You are a very important part of our College’s heritage. We want to maintain a strong and on-going relationship with you. We would love to hear from you and welcome you back to College if you are ever visiting Savannah or its surroundings.

The College of Sciences and Technology (COST) has a new Department of Natural Sciences and Mathematics as a result of the merger of the Department of Biology, Department of Chemistry and the Department of Mathematics, Physics & Computer Science Technology. The reorganization of the departments heralds a new chapter in the history of COST through opening doors and creating opportunities for more interdisciplinary collaboration, stronger and unique niches, new innovative programs and projects, increased grant-writing activities, more aggressive approaches to student recruitment, advisement and retention, and a broader and more involved community service agenda.
On behalf of COST, I thank you so much for donating funds. We continue to promote quality and excellence, even though we face severe financial challenges due to state budget cuts. I am sure, you appreciate how critical it is that we have increasing concern and growing support of our alumni to help COST provide quality education and effective community service.
We hope that many of you will be able to attend homecoming 2002. You don’t want to miss our homecoming events and to mingle with former classmates, professors and staff. We invite you for renewing friendship, fun and fellowship. Come and experience again the energy and excitement of the SSU campus. Come and visit your alma mater and rekindle fond memories of COST and SSU.
I look forward to hearing from you. I wish you continued success in your professional endeavors.
Sincerely,
Jay
