Kenneth Sajwan, Professor in the Department of Natural Sciences and Mathematics has recently presented Marjorie Gardner Lecture on Dioxins and Human Health at the 2007 National Science Teachers Association Annual Conference at Saint Louis, March 28-April1 1. Dr. Sajwan presented his lecture as a part of his 2006 Society of College Teachers Association Outstanding Undergraduate Science Teacher Award.

Dr. Kenneth Sajwan has also been selected by the International Society of Trace Element Biogeochemistry (ISTEB) to organize a symposium on Coal and Coal Combustion Byproducts at the 9th International Conference on the Biogeochemistry of Trace Elements to be held in Beijing, China, July 14-19, 2007.

Dr. Asad Yousuf, Professor in the Department of Engineering Technology received a grant award of $30000 for his proposal to the Junior Engineering Technical Society for Junior Engineering and Technology Summer Program (Co-PI: Dr. Mohamad Mustafa)

Dr. Asad Yousuf has also received grant award of $7500 for "An integrated project-based course in Mathematics and Engineering" (Co-PI: Dr. Mohamad Mustafa and Dr. Shinemin Lin)
