Military Science Department Army ROTC Program |
A CALL TO DUTY
Army ROTC has always been one of America's
leading sources of scholarships, making awards to thousands of the
highest-caliber students each year. This year, we're offering even more
scholarships to quality students who demonstrate leadership. The increased
number of scholarships improves your chances of winning one--and
experiencing the adventures and hands-on leadership training that no other
college course but ROTC provides.
Army ROTC is traditionally a four-year program consisting of a Basic Course (2 years) and an Advanced Course (2 years) where students take one military science course per semester along with their other academic courses. When students conclude their four-year college curriculum and are awarded a baccalaureate degree, they also receive their commission as a Second Lieutenant. The two-year program enables junior and community college students and other students who missed all or part of the ROTC Basic Course to qualify for admission to the advanced program and, ultimately, a commission.
