Program Description

Students will visit historical and cultural sites in and around Salvador. They will have the opportunity to observe and participate in the rich culture of a vibrant and diverse city. Possible course offerings include Afro-Brazilian History & Culture, Beginning and Intermediate Portuguese. Courses will be taught by faculty from the host institution and SSU faculty.

Salvador, Bahia, Brazil

Host Institution: FIB Centro Universitario

Duration: Four Weeks, July - August

Cost: Anticipated $3,500 - $3,800

Cost includes roundtrip airfare, food, lodging, tuition for six credit hours, field trips and excursions, airport transfers, and travel insurance.

Open to all University System of Georgia undergraduate and graduate students.
