Savannah State University provides proctoring services for students attending other colleges and universities (non-SSU students). Institutions across the nation utilize Savannah State University as a testing site to administer exams for students who are enrolled in their respective correspondence or independent studies courses. SSU is a member of the National College Testing Consortium.
We require that the school or company send the exams directly to the Office of Retention & Student Success including an addressed stamped envelope for the return of the exam. Included with the exam should be any instructions for the proctor and any forms to be completed and returned to the instructor.

Those students must:
· Find out and follow their home institution's procedures for off-site testing
· Call the Testing Center to schedule an appointment
· Bring a photo ID and cash or a money order for $20/per hour allocated for the test made payable to Savannah State University
The following guidelines are in effect:
- The sponsoring school or agency is responsible for providing the postage for forwarding the completed examination. If the school does not provide the postage, the cost becomes the responsibility of the student.
- The sponsoring school will indicate the time allowed for the exam and whether special testing conditions are permitted. No calculators, notes or books will be allowed unless specified by the sponsoring institution.
- The testing fee is $20 per hour. This fee is calculated using the time allotted by the sponsoring school (i.e. If time allotted for test is 1 hour 30 minutes, the total test fee is $40.)
