The Mary Jane Stinson Scholarship
Established in 1998 by the Clinical Social Work
Association of Board of Directors to honor the life and work of Mary Jane
Stinson. Mary Jane was one of the original founders of CSWA-Savannah and former
president, and a volunteer for numerous agencies and causes. She died July 15th,
1997, after a long struggle with cancer. Her greatest hope was to help others,
and she left all her professional books, journals, and papers to Savannah State
University, and the MSW program. This scholarship has been raised from $500.00
to $1,000.00, for a second year MSW student at SSU. In August 2001 the Board
established two additional $500.00 scholarships for MSW students. Contact Dr. Bernita Berry for application information. |
