Africana Studies

Africana Studies is an interdisciplinary program that provides knowledge and an appreciation of the history and culture of  Africans and African-Americans.  Africana Studies majors are employed in schools, museums, libraries, archives and agencies committed to preserving African and African-American culture. With an interdisciplinary emphasis Africana Studies prepares students to pursue graduate studies in history, psychology, sociology, gerontology, anthropology, political science,  law and related fields.
