BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Larry D. Stokes

Dr. Larry D. Stokes is chair of the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences. He received the Ph.D. in Sociology with an expertise in social control and deviance, and race and ethnic relations from Howard University. His research interest is law enforcement, cultural diversity, delinquency, homicide, social policy and social inequality. He teaches juvenile delinquency, criminology, social problems, deviant behavior, sociology of law and introduction to sociology. He has published in various professional journals. He is also a member of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences, and the Southern Criminal Justice Association.
