Dr. Benn Bongang was quoted in the Des Moines Register
Dr. Benn Bongang was quoted in the Des Moines Register, a local newspaper in the Iowa’s capital city, about Barack Obama’s performance in the Iowa caucus on January 7, 2008. "I see it as a dramatic event," said Bernard Bongang, the head of the political science department at Savannah State University, the oldest historically black public college in Georgia."Even if he eventually doesn't get the nomination, he's made history because not only has a black man had that kind of victory in Iowa but also a victory propelled to a large extent by young people who are normally not that great about going out to vote."
