Consistent with Savannah State University's unique and historic mission as one of three historically black colleges and universities in the University System of Georgia, the Master of Public Administration program seeks to be the program of choice for non-traditional managers in our region. The program offers traditional managers opportunities to learn in a multicultural environment. The purpose of the Master of Public Administration programs at Savannah State University is to:
- Prepare public managers to assume management and leadership positions in a variety of organizational settings in Coastal Georgia and beyond.
- Advance the knowledge base in the field of public administration through scholarly research and publications.
- Serve to profession and community by using our expertise and intellectual resources to address needs in our service areas.

The Masters of Science in Urban Studies (MSUS) is an interdisciplinary, collaborative graduate program between the College of Liberal Arts and Social Science (CLASS) at Savannah State University (SSU) and the College of Arts and Science (CAS) at Armstrong Atlantic State University (AASU). The principal objectives of the program include the development of analytical and research skills and the utilization of the intellectual resources necessary for the generation of new knowledge of urban areas in Georgia and worldwide; and to add to the general public's awareness of the problems and strengths of Georgia's urban areas through community activity.
