Jayme Bowens

Jayme Bowens is a senior History major minoring in English.  Mr. Bowens was educated in California and later finished his education in Marietta, GA where he was active in many extracurriciular activities.  Being influenced by the O.J. Simpson case, Mr. Bowens decided at an early age to pursue a law degree.   After completing his undergraduate degree, Mr. Bowens plans to become an intellectual, attorney, and historian.  He also plans to use both his intellectual and practical knowledge to change the global world.

Antionette Ellis

Antoinette R. Ellis is a Savannah native and a senior Africana Studies major at Savannah State University.  She works with Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) which is sponsored by Savannah State as a Tutor/Mentor and is also involved in several community activities and organizations including the SSU Chapter of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW).  Antoinette plans to pursue her master’s degree in counseling focusing on communities and agencies and aid the low income and at risk population in her hometown.

Rebecca Faucette

Ms. Faucette is a Savannah native and graduate of Sol C. Johnson High School.  She returned to college after a fifteen year hiatus to complete BA in History and is a graduating senior SSU.  She will attend AASU for a Masters of Arts in Teaching in the fall 2007 and will also teach middle school social studies in the fall.   She has been married for 16 years and has a 13 year old son.

Lisa Lambert

Lisa Lambert is a native of Savannah, GA. She began her educational journey as a student in the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System, graduating from Sol C. Johnson High School in 1986. After graduating from high school she joined the United States Army.
Proudly serving our nation for four years, she spent the majority of her enlistment stationed at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, in our nation's capital.  Ms. Lambert began her secondary education while living in Washington, DC, and in 1993 she graduated Cum Laude from Strayer University with an Associate of Arts Degree in Accounting.  In 2003, after a ten year break in her education Ms. Lambert returned to college to complete her undergraduate studies at Savannah State University (SSU) were she is a Silver Medallion Scholar, maintaining a grade point average of 3.5.  While attending SSU she has also been acknowledged in the National Dean's List 2005-2206, and served as a panelist for the Southern Conference on African American Studies in 2006.  Ms Lambert is a history major with an expected graduation date of May 2007, and plans to return to SSU in the fall to pursue a master's degree in Public Administration.

Adrian Weems

Adrian Weems is originally from McDonough, GA and is a senior History major.  His future plans are to become a high school teacher principle. His interests include watching sports and movies.
