Head Coach:Yocaira Basilio

Yocaira Basilio enters her first season as the head volleyball/tennis coach at Savannah State University.  
 
Coach Basilio graduated from Livingstone College (Salisbury, N.C.) in 2005 with a degree in Criminal Justice. She stayed at Livingstone until 2006, earning a second degree, in Sociology.
 
While attending Livingstone College Basilio was a tri-athlete participating in volleyball, basketball and indoor and outdoor track. An outstanding athlete, Basilio garnered many accolades during her college career. She was named the team MVP in 2003 and 2004, Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association honorable mention, 2002-2004 and First Team All-CIAA as a setter her senior year.  In 2005 Basilio was named Livingstone College Women Athlete of the Year.
 
As a stellar prep athlete at Hialeah Senior High School in Miami, Fla. Basilio participated in cross country, volleyball, basketball and Track before accepting a full academic scholarship to attend Livingstone College .
 
Basilio also hold the position of head women’s tennis coach at Savannah State University .
