Asst. Coach: Julie F. Johnson

Julie F. Johnson is in her first year as assistant women’s basketball coach at Savannah State University. Roberts’ primary duties include assist Coach Baker in all aspects of the game (Workouts, drills, film exchange). She will also assist in the recruiting and selection process of acquiring top athletes for the Savannah State University women’s basketball program.

Johnson was a two-year starter at point guard for then Clark-Atlanta College (1979-81). She is currently pursuing a degree in Education and Computer Information Systems from East Georgia College in Swainsboro, Georgia.

She is a member of the Roundtree Chapel Baptist Church in Twin City, Georgia and an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #114.

Johnson is married to Rev. Marque C. Johnson Sr., and the couple has three children; Kellie, Paige, and Marque Jr.
