Tigers Finish 11th At GEICO Intercollegiate

SAVANNAH, Ga- The Savannah State men's golf team finished 11th in a field of 16 teams at the GEICO Intercollegiate. The event was hosted by Ohio Wesleyan at the Hunter Golf Club.

The Tigers shot a three-day total of 933.

Corey Brown was low medalist for SSU with a score of 229 and finished in 22nd place.

Zac Gelow finished tied for 34th with a 233 followed by Jamie Montgomery who was tied for 58th with 239. Spencer Slade was tied for 60th with a 240 and Riley Baxter was tied for 70th with a score of 242.

Brown shot a 77 on the opening day but Montgomery shot a 73 on day two. On the final day of competition, Brown and Gelow both shot a 77.

Ohio Wesleyan won the event with a 899 while Eric Lilleboe of Ferris State was low medalist with a 216.
