Tigers Finish Eighth at B-CU Spring Invitational

DAYTONA BEACH, Fl- The Savannah State men's golf team participated in the Bethune-Cookman Spring Invitational held February 23 & 24 at the Indigo Lakes Country Club.

The Tigers finished in eighth place with a team score of 622.

Freshman Spencer Slade was low medlaist for SSU as he finished tied for 12th place with a 147. Slade shot a 75 on day one and improved to shoot a 72 on the final day of action.

Zac Gekow finished tied for 30th with a 155 followed by Jamie Montgomery and Riley Baxter who were tied at 44th with a 160 and Corey Brown who finished tied for 47th by shooting a 161.

Florida Gulf Coast won the event with a team score of 568. David McAndrew of Stetson and Kyle Hammon of FGC were tied low medalist honors with a score of 139.
