Montgomery ties for first at B-CC Spring Invitational

Daytona Beach, Fla. – Jamie Montgomery finished in a tie for first place overall at the B-CC Spring Invitational on Sunday. The event was held at Indigo Lakes County Club in Daytona Beach, Fla.
Montgomery finished first out of a field of 56 participants, with a two day score of 147 (+3). The Ponte Vedra, Florida native shot a 71 on day one and 76 on Sunday and finished with four birdies.
Savannah State University completed the event fourth out of 11 schools with a combined score of 629 (311-318), Rollins College won the event with a score of 613 (309-304), Stetson University finished runner-up with a score of 616 (313-303), and Florida Atlantic finished third with a score of 623 (307-316).
SSU finished the first day in third place with a score of 311. Jamie Montgomery finished the round in first place with a score of 71, Billy Daly and Jon Lehman tied for 17th with a score of 79.
Savannah State’s Billy Daly tied for 19th with a score of 159 (+15), Zac Gelow finished 24th with a score of 161 (+17), Jon Lehman tied for 25th with a score of 162 (+18), and Riley Baxter rounded out the Tiger competitors with a tie for 47th with a score of 177 (+33).
SSU will be back in action this Wednesday in the Florida A&M Spring Invitational, which will be hosted by FAMU in Tallahassee, Fla.
