Tigers Finish 11th At Poplar Hill Intercollegiate

FARMVILLE, Va- The Savannah State golf team placed 11th out of 14 teams in the Poplar Hill Intercollegiate, September 9-11.

The Tigers posted a 304-324-327-955 team score.

SSU was led by Corey Brown who finished tied for 37th with a score of 73-78-75-236. Spencer Slade finished tied for 39th by shooting a 74-82-81-237. Jamie Montgomery was tied for 42nd with a 239 followed by Zac Gelow whose score of 249 tied him for 54th. Riley Baxter shot a 255 which was good enough to land him 64th.

Gardner-Webb won the event with a team score of 287-286-296-869.

Low medalist for the tournament was Brendan Madden of Duquesne with a three round score of 213.
