Lehman named to All-Independent Second Team

Savannah, Ga. -- Savannah State University senior golfer Jon Lehman was named to the 2007 All-Independent Men's Golf Second Team, it was announced today.
The Florence Kentucky native led SSU this season with a 74.0 stroke average along with one title win, three top-five finishes and four top-ten finishes. Lehman claimed first place at the 2007 Alabama A&M Golf Classic.
This season, SSU finished seventh in their second consecutive appearance at the National Minority Golf Championship in Port St. Lucie, Fla. Lehman led SSU with a low score of 219 and a 13th place finish.
Louie Bishop from UC Davis was named Independent Men's Golfer of the Year, while Longwood's Adam Webb was named Independent Men's Golf Newcomer of the Year.
