Kilcrease and Osborne Leads Orange In Spring Game

SAVANNAH, Ga- Jacorey Kilcrease tossed three touchdown passes while Isaiah Osborne had 13 receptions for 123 yards in Savannah State's annual Orange and Blue Spring Game at Memorial Stadium.

The Orange team defeated the Blue team 18-6.

Kilcrease completed 23 of 38 passes for 177 yards. The Macon, Georgia native also threw two interceptions and fumbled twice.

Also having a good game on offense were running back Antwan Edwards and wide receivers Isiah Osborne and Tyron Kirkland.

Edwards rushed for 122 yards on 15 carries, Osborne caught 13 passes for 123 yards and a touchdown and Kirkland caught two touchdowns passes.

Calvin Leonard and Vince Cochran each had nine tackles for the defense but the highlight came when Jamar Graham returned a interception 45 yards for a score late in the fourth quarter.

The only score of the first half came when Kilcrease threw a two yard scoring pass to Kirkland with 12:25 left in the second quarter to cap a eight-play, 48 yard drive.

Early in the fourth quarter, Osborne caught a six yard pass from Kilcrease and seven minutes later, Kilcrease threw a four yard touchdown pass to Kirkland for a 18-0 lead.

With 28 seconds left in the scrimmage, Graham picked off a Brandon Webster pass and returned it for a score.

Arnold Denson ran three times for 33 yards and Deleon Hollinger caught eight passes for 39 yards. Denson and Bernard Coleman caught four passes apiece.

Webster, who punted five times for a 30.6 average, completed 13 of 26 passes for 90 yards.

Graham, Leonard and Frank Usher all had interceptions for the defense.Jalvin Lovett and Ladari Redfiled each had one sack.

The offense put up 389 yards and scored three of the seven times they were in the red zone.
