SSU Adds Texas RB To Recruiting Class

SAVANNAH, Ga – Savannah State increased its 2008 recruiting class by one with the signing of running back Kendall Blackshear from Kempner High School in Sugar Land, Texas.

Blackshear, 5 feet 9, 195 pounds, became the 29th member of Coach Robby Wells’ first recruiting class. Blackshear, a three-year starter gained 800 yards as a senior, averaging 7.3 yards per carry and scored 12 touchdowns.

Blackshear finished the year being named to the 2007 All-District 23 5-A Team in Texas as a first team fullback.
