Tigers Edge Air Force

SAVANNAH, Ga- Matthew Oglesby hit a RBI double in the bottom of the ninth to give Savannah State a 3-2 victory over Air Force at Tiger Field.

Kyle Wilkerson led off the ninth with a double to left center. Santos Adames grounded out to second but Wilkerson advanced to third and scored on Oglesby's hit.

SSU improved to 15-8 with the win.

Alfred Arnold gave the Tigers eight strong innings on the mound. Arnold surrendered six hits but held the Falcons to two runs as he struck out four batters.

Air Force led 1-0 entering the bottom of the fifth but the Tigers tied the score when Tristen Smith scored on Adames ground out to first.

Andrew Mendez hit a RBI single for Savannah State in the eighth that scored Oglesby who earlier walked for a 2-1 advantage. SSU left the bases loaded. Jeff Abt hit a home run for the Falcons in the top of the ninth to tie the game at two.

Dexter Kelley hit three singles for SSU and Wilkerson had a pair of doubles.

Abt scored twice for Air Force (9-13).
