Our Mission

The purpose for which SSU Foundation, Inc. is organized is to encourage, solicit, receive and administer gifts and bequests of properties and funds for educational, scientific and charitable purposes, all for the advancement of Savannah State University. SSU Foundation, Inc promotes and supports education. We provide funds, which are not provided from public sources for use in the furtherance of the education and welfare of Savannah State University, its faculty and students. These funds are to be used in attracting experienced and outstanding instructors, educators, and scientists to Savannah State University; educational facilities; and scholarships.

The Savannah State University Foundation, Inc. is an affiliate 501C(3) organization that promotes the overall survival of Savannah State University. It is pivotal that we maintain growth within our organization in order to enhance the growth of the university. Your support of giving will help us maintain the growth and structure needed for the promotion of educational excellence and service to our community. Giving to Savannah State University is an investment in tomorrow’s leaders. The oldest public historically black college in Georgia, SSU has a rich history of providing a high quality education to students from around the world.
