Creighton C. A. Roberts

Creighton Roberts is the Deputy Chief of Savannah State University, Department of Public Safety.  Prior to this, he worked as a Special Agent with the Department of the Air Force, Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) from June 2001 to May 2005.  He held several different assignments ending as AFOSI, Detachment 804, Vandenberg AFB, California Counter Intelligence Chief.  In this capacity, he was responsible for investigations dealing with criminal activity, counter intelligence and fraud, which affect the USAF. 

Captain Roberts was born in Brunswick, Georgia.  He graduated from Brunswick High School, Brunswick, Georgia in 1987.  Captain Roberts became a sworn Georgia Peace Officer in August 1989. He later went on to served six years in the Georgia Air National Guard as a Security Forces Specialist, during which time he completed his Bachelors Degree in Human Resources in May 1999.  Additionally, Captain Roberts was employed with the Chatham County Police Department (CCPD), Savannah, Georgia and the Glynn County Police Department, Brunswick, Georgia.  Captain Roberts brings an extensive law enforcement background culminated in over 12 years on the local level.  During his tenure as a Georgia Peace Officer, Captain Roberts served as a patrol officer, a narcotics agent, and worked his way up to a position in the Internal Affairs Division of the CCPD, Savannah, GA.

Captain Roberts has been married for 14 years to Lisa Roberts and has four children.  Captain Roberts has been heavily involved within every local community in which he lived by coaching little league baseball and football for the past seven years.  He is also the past president of the Georgia Chapter IIIV, Blue Knights Motorcycle Club, Savannah, GA.
