SSU Participates In USC Beaufort Invitational

BEAUFORT, SC- Savannah State was one of six schools to participate in the Simens Technology/USC Beaufort Cross Country Invitational held on the USCB South campus.
The men ran a 8k course while the women's course was 5k.
SSU's Tyron McCoy finished fifth in the field of 22 runners with a time of 29.51.
Conlin Scott of Savannah College of Art & Design was the overall winner with a time of 27:49.
Seventeen runners participated in the women's division which was won by USC Aiken's Nicole Maitland who was timed at 20:37.
Savannah State's Antoinette Elam had a personal best time of 21:33 which was good enough for fith place.
Tamia Thomas finished in 10th place with a time of 22:38 while Tyisha Butler had a time of 23:37 to finish 12th.
Other participating schools were Voorhees and Morris College. |
