Savannah State participated in the Second Annual Bulldog Duals

JAMES ISLAND, SC- Savannah State participated in the Second Annual Bulldog Duals hosted by The Citadel at James Island County Park.

Tyron McCoy placed 23rdoverall and was the top finisher for the SSU men with a time of18:03. Marcus Stallworth was 36th and had a time of 19:44. Other Savannah State runners were Joseph Ferguson (41st, 20:500), Chris Blount (43rd, 21:27) and Aaron Whitaker (45th, 24:01).

In duals action, SSU defeated south Carolina State 25-30 but lost to Charleston Southern (18-37), College of Charleston (15-43) and Benedict (17-38).

Antoinette Elam led the SSU women by finishing 23rd with a time of 22:30. Tamia Thomas finished the course in 23:23 which was good enough to place her 26th. Tyisha Butler finished 30th with a time of 23:50 and Victoria Burch was 41st with a run of 26:07.

The SSU women did not win any duals, falling to Charleston Southern (26-32), South Carolina State (26-31) and Georgia Southern (17-42).
